How Does a Single Facilitator Lead 1,000 Participants?

True North is not a traditional breakout-room workshop. It is a hybrid experiential system — combining a physical desktop sand table, a WeChat mini program, and a centralized digital platform — so a single lead facilitator can orchestrate hundreds of teams in one synchronized session.

True North scales from intimate cohorts of 10 to large-scale events of 500 or more — and in some deployments, over 1,000 participants in a single synchronized session. Teams of 5–8 sit at physical sand tables and compete in parallel across the room.

Do participants need to download an app?

No standalone app download is required. Participants join via a WeChat mini program by scanning a QR code at the start of the session. The physical desktop sand table and role cards anchor the face-to-face experience; the mini program handles decisions, scoring, and live events.

Can it be delivered online?

True North is designed as a hybrid experience — a physical sand table combined with a digital platform. While the full impact comes from in-room delivery, hybrid and remote configurations can be discussed based on your organization's needs and geography.

How many facilitators are required?

Typically one lead facilitator orchestrates the entire session — setting pace, triggering events, and leading whole-room debriefs using live platform data. Optional support staff may assist with logistics at very large events, but per-table facilitators are not needed.
